Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GooderTherapy (“the Site”), operated by Gooder Software, LLC(“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

What GooderTherapy Is

GooderTherapy is a therapist discovery platform. We provide a directory of mental health professionals and a space for clients to share anonymized reviews of their experiences. We are not a medical provider, mental health service, or referral service. We do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any therapist listed on the Site.

GooderTherapy is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services.

Submitting Reviews

By submitting a review, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have a genuine first-hand experience with the therapist you are reviewing
  • Your review is truthful and based on your actual experience
  • Your review does not contain false statements of fact, defamatory content, or personal attacks
  • Your review does not contain private information about the therapist beyond what is relevant to evaluating their professional services
  • You are not the therapist being reviewed, nor affiliated with them

You grant Gooder Software, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to process, transform, display, and distribute an anonymized version of your review on the Site. We will not publish your original words. Your submission is processed by AI to generate a neutral summary before any content is made public.

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or decline to publish any review at our discretion, including reviews that violate these terms, appear fraudulent, or are flagged during moderation.

Therapist Listings

Therapist profiles on GooderTherapy may be created from publicly available information or submitted directly by therapists. We make reasonable efforts to keep listing information accurate, but we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or currency of any therapist's information including their availability, insurance acceptance, or licensure status. Always verify a therapist's credentials and availability directly with them before booking.

If you are a therapist and wish to claim, update, or remove your listing, please contact us.

Reviews of your own practice are not permitted. If you are a therapist, you may not submit a review of yourself, ask a colleague, friend, or family member to submit one on your behalf, or submit reviews while presenting yourself as a client. We screen review submissions for this.

If we determine that a therapist has submitted or arranged a review of their own practice, we will remove the review and remove that therapist's listing from GooderTherapy. We may decline to restore the listing.

AI-Powered Features

The Site uses AI to process and anonymize reviews, generate therapist tags, and power the therapist-matching chat feature. AI outputs are provided for informational and discovery purposes only. They do not constitute clinical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Always consult a licensed mental health professional for guidance on your specific situation.

Therapist-Matching Chat

The therapist-matching chat (the “Assistant”) exists for one purpose only: to help you search and discover therapists in our directory. It is not a mental-health service, counseling tool, or medical device, and must not be used or relied upon as one. It does not provide clinical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or crisis support. If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis or emergency, do not use the Assistant. Call or text the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or contact your local emergency services.

By using the Assistant, you agree to use it solely to search the directory, and you acknowledge that any other use is a violation of these Terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gooder Software, LLC is not responsible or liable for any use of the Assistant beyond directory search, or for any reliance on its outputs for any purpose other than discovering therapist listings.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews
  • Use the Site to harass, defame, or harm any therapist or individual
  • Attempt to manipulate ratings or review counts
  • Submit a review of your own practice, or arrange for another person to submit one on your behalf, if you are the therapist being reviewed
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically collect data from the Site without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any therapist listing, review, or AI-generated content.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gooder Software, LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to decisions made based on therapist listings, reviews, or AI-generated recommendations.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles.
